Hillclimbing in a Porsche 914/6 is better than coffee
Hillclimbing, Kiwi-style with Jeff Zwart.
Modern day renaissance man and Porsche über enthusiast Jeff Zwart has carved out a unique niche for himself. As co-founder of Radical Media, he's become a pre-eminent name in car film and photography. He helped Ron Howard out on the set Rush, and even did some work here at Road & Track early in his career.
He's also pretty quick behind the wheel, and has become a fixture at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Here we find Zwart behind the wheel of his Porsche 914/6, which also happens to be the very first car he ever purchased just after he got out of high school. He's held on to it since, and even entered it in the 10,000 mile Panama to Alaska Rally where he finished second overall.
The event is the Leadfoot Festival in New Zealand, which is hosted by Rod Millen at his private grounds at Leadfoot Ranch. If you though 914s were the slow Porsches of the 1970s, then maybe this video will help you change your mind.
